After a great nights sleep, and 2 days of sitting in the airport trying to get to Connecticut first and then San Antonio, I figured this is a great time to catch you guys up on everything that’s been going on in my world.
First up-Receiving the inaugural ESPN/ Playstation Sports Humanitarian of the Year award! I was absolutely overwhelmed with excitement when I found out that I won the award! This is such a HUGE honor for my Catch the Stars Foundation and me… ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! There is nothing better than the satisfaction and joy of putting smiles on other people’s faces & impacting the lives of our future stars, teachers and leaders! What a blessing!!

Up next-the announcement that I was selected by the fans for my 10th All-Star Appearance. It’s always an honor to be selected to play in the game, but for me, it means that much more to be voted in by the fans! The best part of All-Star weekend is playing with players that I may or may not ever have the chance to play with. And, I LOVE when we have more than one Fever player on the roster-I'm confident that at least one of my teammates will be added to the Eastern Conference All-star team!
Family Time with Jayce
Family time-I've had a blast hanging with my nephew Jayce this past week. It was his first solo trip with me, and definitely won’t be his last. He joined me on a few appearances – Kroger’s and a Fever Prospect Event, amongst practices and loads of fun.
White House Dreams
Tauja and Kanon got a chance to come to DC last week while we were out there. And, amongst all of the cool places they got to visit, and their awesome bike tour, we got to visit the White House. I must honestly say, no matter how many times I’ve been, I always cherish the opportunities to go with my family. Good times for all!
Let the good times roll : )
Team bonding-Of course, I can’t leave out our Geist Reservoir team event- food, fun, Taboo and a little swimming along the way. All in all, a great day and another opportunity to spend more time with each other- OFF the court.
Team update-We were on a little streak of wins until 2 nights ago when we lost to the Mystics. I’m sure it was a tough one for our fans to watch, and definitely not so good to be a part of either. But, our team is resilient and I’m excited to get back on the court in San Antonio on Tuesday.
Stay tuned... it's coming April 2016
It’s OFFICIAL!! My book “Catch a Star” with Ken Petersen will be out in April 2016. Stay tuned and make sure you grab a copy when it’s done. I want to thank GOD for the journey I’ve been on and the opportunity to tell my story. : )
Well, until we meet again… Stay tuned to my IG and Twitter @catchin24 to keep up on the latest happenings : ) Best wishes and God Bless!!
