Well, first scrimmage has just finished up and the final score was 68-76. I didn’t get to see the game, but from the updates and score, I know that my teammates went out there and battled hard. I’m really excited about this years ‘team and our potential. I don’t know what it is, but the vibe just feels so different already. I got asked “What does a successful season look like in my mind?” My answer… “Winning a ship is what everyone that sits in this chair says. But, along with that, I think just having the outlook with a new coach of a new mentality and being able to go out and play Steph’s style of play.” So, I feel like after watching the scrimmage yesterday against Atlanta and being in practice every day that this team will be successful : )
We kicked off our training camp last Sunday, and hosted our Fever Tip Off Event for Season Ticket Holder’s on Tuesday. I honestly feel like we have the BEST fans in the WNBA. They came out solid this past week despite it being a school/work night to show their support. What a blessing!! The Simon Sez guy, the newcomers interview and just the whole night was awesome!!
Happy Memorial Day!
Well, it’s Memorial Day Weekend and I want to say thanks to all of the soldiers currently and in the past that have fought for all of us. I know for me there is no greater honor than playing for my country and representing everyone over in the Olympics, but that doesn’t compare to each of you putting your life on the line for your country every single day. God Bless each of you and your families!!
