Thank you Mumbai for the great times!! It’s crazy how fast time flies when you’re having fun. Today was a great day full of interviews and some time to reflect on my trip while touring the city a little bit. I literally kept pinching myself because I still can’t believe I’m on the other side of the world experiencing the beautiful country of India.
I don't remember the question, but it was funny...
I've been busy with interviews, a youth basketball clinic and dinner with the coaches, I'm having an amazing time! My time in Mumbai has been great & I’m so thankful for the opportunity to join the Jr. NBA and Reliance Foundation to help promote basketball in India.
Hangin' with a few Champions!!
This was the first city on the tour, and they've developed a curriculum to help teach the basics of the game of basketball to youth through the school system. Coaches come from around the world to participate in this program & get trained on how to train other coaches & P.E. teachers so that they're able to teach the kids the game we love so much!! What an awesome concept! It was cool to be able to witness basketball at it’s grass root level over here and the kids so anxious to listen and learn to become better players.
Coaches come from all over the world to teach the youth
After last night's clinic, I had a chance to spend time with the coaches at dinner. In between the magic tricks from one of the local assistant coaches and some great Indian cuisine, a few of the coaches shared their experience and how much fun they’ve had being able to be stationed in Mumbai for 3-4 months and teaching the game to the kids. The biggest thing they talked about was how receptive the kids were and so eager to learn. That’s how we grow the game!!
A lil sightseeing before I left - Mumbai Train Station
Well, the flight is about to board and I’ll be off to Chennai : ) Ready or not, HERE I COME LOL!
