It’s been a whirlwind of a week (again), and I’m just settling in to write my blog, as it’s the LAST one before Christmas. This week has been a great one full of surprises, lots of love and just some good ole… FUN!!!
I don’t know where to start, but I must say that one of the coolest things that happened was getting announced into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame!!! Wowwwwww!! I must say that when I got the call I was very surprised (and happy). I don’t know how many people have been nominated into a Hall of Fame while still in their careers. A blessing for sure!! Thanks to everyone for the support and love via social media, e-mails, texts, phone calls and all. I am so thankful for all of the love from each one of you! Check out the story at: http://www.hoopshall.com/news/2014/12/16/general/2015-women-s-inductees-announced/
Had a great time attending more games this week and especially doing the on- court presentation with Mayor Ballard, CEO of Jakks Toys- Stephen Berman and a few of our Fever representatives- head coach Stephanie White and my teammate Shavonte Zellous. Any time you can bless others, it’s a blessing to be a part of. Check out the video clip: http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/pacers-and-fever-partner-jakks-pacific-holiday-toy-giveaway
We’re a week away from camp (Dec 29th) so we spent the past week prepping for that so we can all have a great Christmas holiday. I love this time of the year not only for celebrating the birth of Christ, but for camp time too. The smiles on the kids’ faces are priceless!!
Boomer, Pacemates and I hanging with the kids at Riley's Children's Hospital
Surprises were in the air: Boomer, the Pacemates and I spent some time at Riley’s Children’s hospital giving out toys and just being able to spend a little time with them. When we walked into those rooms, the smiles that greeted us were like little angels shining down on us. We got to laugh, play games, talk and just bless them with presents. What an awesome time!!
Meet Bella- one of our future WNBA stars : )
While we got to give surprises at the hospital, my surprise came through a text from my mom on Friday when I got out of workouts. She would be landing in Indy 30 minutes later!! Yayyyyyyyyyy Mommy’s in town!! ☺ We got to spend a whole weekend together with the fam – enjoying a mini holiday party, going to see the movie Annie and our own little Christmas night. I love when my Mom is in town!!!
Mom's presents to the lil elves LOL

Happy Holidays to EVERYONE!!! I hope that you get to really celebrate what the season stands for! Every time I hear the Christmas story it brings tears to my face because God gave us a Son that took away all of our sins. So, no matter what He will continue to love me through my good and bad! Why He loves me so, I don’t know but I’m so thankful and grateful for Him being the most important part of my life!
I hope this next week you will focus on why we have this season, and that instead of being so in tune to receiving that we remember to give just as He has given to us ; ) Eat good, enjoy the family, and have fun!
Some holiday cookies from the Christmas party : ) Check out the 24 and Nike signs LOL
Happy Holidays and much love to you and your family!! God Bless!
